Concentrate
BGP’s iron ore concentrates contain between 66 and 69.5% Fe, depending on the grade. Blast furnace concentrates are also produced with Fe contents of 60% and 61.8%. BGP’s iron ore concentrates are characterized by low Sulphur and phosphorus content.
The concentrates are non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive. They can be loaded into open rolling stock for transportation by rail. Dry concentrate is ideal for transportation at temperatures below zero.
Usage
The concentrate is supplied as a commodity and is used as a semi-finished product for the production of blast furnace pellets and pellets for metallization.
Production Process
Mined ore is broken into pieces and crushed before going through several stages of beneficiation by wet magnetic separation. The concentrate is then dehydrated. In winter the product is dried with the buyer’s agreement.
